The Pros Of A Continuity Program

Why Use A Continuity Program

Every month you have to come up with the plan for how you are going to make the sales you need to hit your income goal. You can make it easier and more predictable by using a continuity program.

The key is to offer a product or service that has a monthly payment attached to it. Membership sites, fixed term memberships delivered by email, newsletters, and a service that you provide.

There are several examples available, and chances are that you are using some of them yourself. Web hosting, email service provider, membership sites you are a member of, video hosting, and more are examples of this.

This is why you should use a continuity program for your business. It gives you a more steady income stream, and can grow over time.

Let’s take a look at 5 areas where a continuity program can be an asset to your business.

You get an effortless, residual income stream.

Your customers are billed automatically at the agreed upon interval (usually monthly, but sometimes weekly). So you know how much you are going to make at the start of each billing cycle. You have an idea of where to focus your attention to get the additional income that you need for the month.

You can create a “set it and forget it” membership offer.

You don’t have to chain yourself to your computer managing your membership site. You can instead offer a fixed-term membership (FTM), where you send an email each month or week with a link to the area of your site where your members can access the new content.

There are plenty of backend income opportunities.

Whether you are using a fixed term membership site where you send email with links, or you have a membership area, you can include offers for other products that you have for sale.

You position yourself as an expert in your niche.

When you create a membership site and regularly produce quality content and solutions for your customers, they’ll start to see you as the expert in your niche. And that means it’s even easier for you to sell additional products and services on the backend.

Low barriers to entry.

Membership offers were more difficult in the past. For one thing, providing access via email was a new thing that few people were doing. And if you wanted a membership site you had limited options as far as the software you could use. And it was kind of expensive too.

Today it’s much easier. Using an FTM style of membership requires an email service provider – which you already have – and a way to take payments, which you already have. If you need membership software, there are several options, both free and paid, and there are a ton of video tutorials that make it a lot easier to install and set up.

Bottom line: Keep on creating and selling courses or offering services – but don’t forget about continuity programs!

How To Save Time And Effort

The main reason that I have heard about not using a continuity program is that it seems like it’s too hard.

You have to come up with content every month. And you have to set up the delivery system. If you are going to use a membership site, you have to learn how to install the software or plugin, and how to set it up.That sounds like a lot of work. You may think that you can’t do it, and never even get started.

I tell you what – it can be exhausting even thinking about it. But think about how much better you’ll feel once you get it set up and see how much easier it is to make your online business succeed.

Another thing to consider is that there are a ton of marketers who are using continuity programs. If they can do it, you can too.

So here’s a tip: There are ways to get the content you need without spending long days working on your computer. Here are two of my favorite ways to speed up the content creation process.
1. PLR Content
2. Content I've Already Created

Let’s dig into why using these resources can save you time and make you money…

Using Private Label Rights

Private label rights products, or PLR, are products that come ready to use. You can purchase pdf guides that come with graphics and the word document. You can purchase articles and emails. You can get checklists, videos, mind maps and more.

PLR is widely available online. Do a search and you’ll have a ton of site to visit. Find the sites that offer PLR related to your niches and see what they have to offer. You do have to be careful because some of the PLR is either poorly written or out of date.

What I like to do is search for reviews of the PLR sites that I come across. This can give you a much better idea of whether or not the site has a good reputation for offering quality PLR.

One thing that you could look for is PLR that is limited to a certain number of sales. It’s not uncommon to see PLR that is limited to 100 copies, for example. You have less competition, but the trade-off is that you will end up paying more for this type of PLR.

If you end up with PLR that is not as good as you thought it would be, it’s not really a big problem. PLR is a good way to get content, but if you use it without changing it, you are up against everyone else who bought the same product.

The key to effectively using PLR to get the content you need for your continuity program is to edit and rewrite it. Use it as a shortcut, and add to it, rearrange the content, and package several pieces of content together to come up with a more valuable package for your member.

When you use the PLR product as a template, swap out the graphics and product title, and add to and edit the content, you’ll end up with a complete new product that no one else has.

And you have content that your members have never seen, have never purchased, and they will be more likely to stick around when they see how much content you give them every month.

Content You Already Have

If you have a web site and an email list, you have a lot of content at your disposal. Every article and post you have on your site, and every email and email series that you have sent or are planning to send, is content.

Content that you can use to power your continuity program.

To take advantage of this content goldmine is gather it together by topic, bundle it together into a document or lesson, and you’ll have what you need to fulfill your members expectations.

There are a few established marketers that I know of that offer ebooks on Amazon that are made up of blog posts that they have made over time. They added them to a kindle book, and offered it for sale.

Here’s another way to use this content.

Repurpose the content. Here’s what I mean. If you get a PLR guide, you can take the content and add it to a slide presentation. Then you can create a screen cast video.

You can get PLR to a video training and transcribe the videos and turn it into a PLF guide. Create checklists from the content that you have for the lesson. Add a recommended resources guide.

There’s really no reason to make it hard getting the content you need for your continuity program.

Using continuity in your business gives you a more predictable monthly income, and by using PLR and content you already have, coming up with the content you need to create your paid information will be faster and easier. To your success…
