Affiliate Marketing Success Tips

There are many myths flying around the affiliate marketing space about how to be successful, how hard it is to be successful and what you actually need to have a successful affiliate marketing business.

In this section we will take a look at what is really going on, and show you that contrary to what you might have read or heard, affiliate marketing is a good way for a new marketer to get started with their own home business.

Do You Need A Huge List?

The size of your email list is one of the biggest misconceptions out there. People say you need a HUGE list to make money with affiliate marketing. NOT TRUE!

The quality of the list is more important than the size. What is more important is how your list responds to your messages, and if they are buyers. If you build a list by giving away a ton of stuff to get subscribers, you may end up with subscribers who download the freebie and never open you email messages.

Make sure that you don't just send out promotions in every email. Give them valuable tips and information. That's why they subscribed in the first place - to get what you promised on the opt-in page.

That doesn't mean that you don't include links in every email you send. Just don't make every email a sales pitch, or you will end up with a list that doesn't read your messages, or they will leave your list.

Emailing daily is a must to keep you and your brand at the top of your subscriber’s mind and inbox. Don’t let yourself get forgotten.

If you are not emailing your list AT LEAST once a day you are leaving money on the table.

Invite your subscribers to ask you questions and give you feedback. This will give you a better idea of what they are struggling with and what they want to learn. This makes it easier to find affiliate product that address their concerns. And it will make it more likely that you will get more sales.

Creating Your Site

Affiliate marketing works better when you have a web site. While this may seem difficult, it's not as hard as you may think. You're going to need a domain name and web hosting.

Once you have that in place, you can quickly and easily install a blog on your site. There are a ton of free themes to choose from so you can make a nice looking site.

The best way to learn how to get all of this done is use your favorite search engine. You'll find a ton of free information on how to set up a blog, how to install themes and plugins, how to create posts and pages, and more. In text and video.

Don't forget that when you decide to promote an affiliate product, you are provided with a link, and usually there are graphics, articles, and email series that you can use for your site.

That's why having a site is so important. And a blog is the fastest and easiest way to do it. You now have an affiliate page that you can send traffic to so they can opt-in to your list, download a free report, and click on your link so you can get credit for a sale.

Offering Bonuses To Get Clicks

Bonuses are designed to persuade your potential customer into buying a product through your affiliate link and not from another affiliate.

If the customers can get something that adds value or the bonuses are more valuable than the product selling price, surely it will be converted into improved conversions for you.

Bonuses mean more value to the original offer. In fact, most of the time, bonuses are usually worth more than what the products are worth.

Yes, you are selling the same thing as other affiliates servicing the same market. However, by having bonuses that are truly valuable, customers would prefer your offer.

Bonuses are obviously designed and implemented with the aim to increase sales and they must be readily available and accessible to all customers upon completion of their purchase.

Here are some ways for you to create bonuses.

To start with, doing it by yourself is actually the easiest way to create a bonus offer. Create a report or video that adds value to the product that you are promoting. To get ideas, see what your competitors are doing. You don't want to copy them - you are just trying to make your bonus offer better and more enticing so you get more sales.

Another and easier route that is also often used in in affiliate marketing is the use of Private Label Rights. Private Label Rights are products where the content is already prepared and you can actually buy its ownership.

This is a good choice if you don’t have your own content yet. This would save time and effort and you can use it as your bonus right away. Make sure to go over the PLR first to make sure that it will add value.

What about creating a number of different bonus items?

If there are a lot of affiliates promoting the same product you've selected, you may have to get more creative. What will happen is that potential customers are going to shop around for the best bonus stack before they buy.

You are going to have to offer a better and more valuable bonus. And sometimes you will have to offer a bonus stack. You'll have to see how far you have to go and if it's worth the time and money to compete. If not, just move on to another product.
